On 24^th of September 2012 after joining the faculties of Russian philology and Uzbek philology, department of Uzbek language and its study methods transformed into Department of Uzbek language and literature and its study methods. Managing of department was in charge of professor A.Abdukodirov from September 2012 to April 203, associate professor – T.Turdiboev from April 2013, then E.Eshmurodov up to August 2016, and associate professor B.Jabborov from 18^th of August 2016 up to 2018.

Along with development of cooperation with the Republic of Uzbekistan the number of Uzbek students is increased and it raised the necessity of division of Department of Uzbek language and its study methods into two departments - department of Uzbek language and its study methods and Department of Uzbek literature and its study methods.

Currently, six teachers are working for department. Including 1 professor – Abduvali Berdialiev, Ph.D. in philology, Associate professors – Erali Sheraliev, Tohir Hasanovich Turdiboev, Abdunazar Urolovich Rahmonkulov, Bahrom Abdurasulovich Jabborov and records manager – Nargiza Sharifovna Rahimova. A department is arranged its scientific activity in accordance with synchronous and comparative research of Uzbek and Tajik languages. Scientists of department professor – A.Berdialiev, E.Sheraliev and others are regularly participate in conferences and international meetings.
