Radio station "Furugh"

The radio«Students' Voice» was established at the chair of journalism and translation theory of Khujand State University named after academician Bobojon Gafurov in 2005, where students of the Department of Journalism and Translation Theory prepared radio materials. The radio broadcasted at the Faculty of Tajik Philology. Since the inception of the radio several young journalists such as Osim Nosirov, Jamshed Maruf, Asliddin Ochilov, Zamira Sattorova, Faruh Fayzulloev, Malika Saidkhujaeva and Afzal Bosoliyev ran the radio. In 2015 it stopped broadcasting because of a malfunction of technical equipment.

In 2017 at the request of the Department of Journalism and Theory of Translation and support of the Rector of the University Professor Jurazoda J. H. the radio studio "Furugh" was reestablished. In addition to the practical classes, the studio also presents radio programs that reflect the academic and cultural life of the university. It also serves to provide students with the most important scientific and cultural events and presentations of talented youth, qualified and experienced teachers, lessons of the best teachers, the university education process, and participation of students in the region's political and cultural events.

Students' reports and programs are also aired on local radio stations.

Twice a month a circle of radio journalism is held at the radio studio, where radio specialists attend and teach students of the Tajik Philology Faculty the particulars of this profession.

The daily broadcast of the radio station is 70 minutes, the programs prepared by students are transmitted during the break. Also a radio call from the Tajik Philology Faculty will automatically sound through a radio studio.
